Learn an effective Quick Fix For Athlete’s Foot and How to Prevent Athlete’s Foot.

Athlete’s foot is irritating; it can be painful, itchy and is often difficult to get rid of. Learn a few fast facts and discover an effective, dirt-cheap and fast-acting Athlete’s Foot cure.

Athlete’s Foot is:
a type of skin inflammation: most commonly a fungal infection.

Causes of Athlete’s Foot:

  • Athlete’s Foot is contagious and can be transmitted from person to person as well as by wearing someone else’s shoes or socks
  • Athlete’s Foot thrives in dark and moist environment
  • Athlete’s Foot can be contracted from infected flooring, carpeting, at a gym, nail salon or a swimming pool.
  • wearing synthetic socks and / or shoes

Symptoms of Athlete’s Foot:

  • reddish skin eruptions or yellowish blisters
  • peeling skin
  • pain and / or itching
  • in men, Athlete’s Foot may affect feet as well as hands and the groin area
  • in both men and women, Athlete’s Foot may also infect nails

Diagnosis of Athletes Foot:

The doctor places a small piece of the patient’s infected skin in potassium hydroxide. Potassium hydroxide destroys healthy skin but leaves the fungi cells behind which can then be examined under a microscope.

Treatments for Athletes Foot:

  • mild cases of Athlete’s Foot can be treated with over-the-counter medications
  • more serious cases, may require prescription treatments as well as prescription pills

Quick fix for Athletes Foot:

I contracted Athlete’s Foot as a young teen: I cut my foot in a swimming pool and suffered from Athlete’s Foot on and off ever since. I’ve had plenty of experience with numerous treatments, both: prescription and over-the-counter. None of them is 100% effective and none of them is free. After years of struggle I found a way to treat the problem fast, effectively and on a dime.

  1. If your Athlete Foot is fully blown already: soak your feet in a solution of warm water and baking soda for 10 minutes. Dry your feet thoroughly, between the toes, etc. Wait another 10 minutes to make sure that your feet are completely dry.
  2. Fill in a spray bottle with Hydrogen Peroxide and spray the infected areas thoroughly before going to sleep.
  3. Spray with Hydrogen Peroxide morning and evening for up to 3 days.
  4. Disinfect your shoes: if the shoes’ interior is irrelevant, spray it with Hydrogen Peroxide; if the interior is colorful sprinkle it with baking soda and leave it in overnight: shake out the baking soda in the morning.

In most cases of a fungal Athlete’s Foot, you’ll experience significant – or complete – relief within 24-48 hours.

IMPORTANT: do NOT use the above described method on the groin area or nails!

How to prevent Athlete’s Foot:

  • wear open toed shoes whenever possible
  • avoid synthetic socks
  • avoid footwear made of synthetic materials
  • keep your shoes and socks disinfected (as described above) and dry
  • keep your feet dry
